Dr. Mahidhar Valeti is the Director& HOD- Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgery at Continental Hospitals. He is an eminent surgical gastroenterologist and laparoscopic surgeon and is among the pioneers of bariatric surgery in the country. He has performed thousands of various weight reduction procedures like Gastric Band, Gastric Sleeve and Gastric Bypass. For his immense experience and academic excellence, Dr. Mahidhar is a much sought after speaker at various national and international conferences as Faculty & Guest Speaker. His passion of eradicating obesity led him to initiate OBECURE Foundation- a trust which works towards raising awareness about obesity and its associated health problems. For his contributions in over 20 years of experience, Dr. Mahidhar was recently awarded as Legend of the Year in Laparoscopy & Bariatric Surgery at Times of India Healthcare Achiever’s Awards. He is also the Examiner for Royal College of Surgeons, England for MRCS & FRCS exams.
