He was awarded the FACS (Fellow of the American College of Surgeons) in 2022. His special interests include hernia repair, laparoscopic gallbladder surgery, laparoscopic appendectomy, and anal proctology.

Dr. Arun Kumar Selva Ganapathy is an expert in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery.  He specialises in General Surgery, GI Surgery, Minimal Access & Bariatric Surgery. He has done fellowships both in India and abroad. He is a life member in several famous associations such as Indian Medical Association, Association of Surgeons of India, American College of Surgeons, & Indian Association of Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons among others.
